My 2014 ATS has a big problem. The car only has 12K miles and since we live in Colorado the humidity is very low and I didn't previously experience a problem. We took a road trip last week to Iowa running the AC more than 10 hours with the humidity above 80%. The condensation built up behind the passenger dash. I could hear it sloshing around when I took corners. The front and rear floor carpets were wet.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Is there a solution?
If it is sloshing around in the dash and draining on the floor the drains aren't working correctly and I would expect plugged. The solution might be as simple as unplugging the drains. I have never heard of this problem on the ATS but have on other cars.
Could be the drain line (rubber, I think) was pinched during assembly and worked OK, but would clog with gunk, such as fungus, in a shorter time than one that was fully open. Take it in and get it cleaned, and installed correctly if it's pinched.
Hi, I have all the syndromes of a clogged AC drain hose (the sound of water in the dash when I am turning, water spitting out from the vents, smell...), but the problem is after crawling under the car for half an hour, I couldn't find the damn drain to clean it! alldatadiy is not a help either...
