I am seeing this on my 2013 ATS 2.0T Performance: "Service - Driver Assist System". But I don't notice anything wrong with my car... Anyone has the same experience? I am planning to take the car to dealer (it's still within 50k warranty, so service should be free, right?). Appreciate it if anyone with same experience shares the reason of this warning. I am worried that the dealer cannot find the reason easily while I am not able to describe any problem.
Also, I saw "Service - Advance Front Lighting" one time. After restarting the engine, the warning was gone and never appear again. Should I worry about it?
I have not seen it, but my feel is your car might be running fine,
but something like your safety alert seat might not be working.
If you have the expensive Driver Assist Package, with adaptive
Cruise, auto braking, etc, that may not be working.
So if your car runs good, it's probably some alert system.
Usually if you still have the message when you bring the car to the
dealer, it easier for them to find.
I would bring it into the dealer and document the complaint. If it starts acting up again, you'll want a record. Pictures of the trouble light being illuminated may be helpful too.
My 2013 ATS is going back in this week for the same issue. 3rd visit in the last month or so for this. So far they have replaced the seat alert system.
When I had that message I had previously had "service front camera" alert on multiple occasions but no code when I would take it in. They replaced my front camera and all has been well since (May 2015).
I have just seen the same alert "Service - Drive Alert System" - with no reasons for it. I've stoped the engine and got started it again - alert still here.
Is visiting dealer the only option? What do they do to fix it?
thanks!
Yes it's the only option unless you're a Cadillac technician, and two, who knows what they do to fix it. It could be any number of issues associated with the warning code. Could be a false positive as well. Take advantage of your warranty, take it in and let your service department problem solve it.
I too am having the issue. I have my car at the dealer now right after I just picked up for the sane issue. They reprogram the system for a software update. Looks like it didn't correct the issue. They gave me a loaner which helps but it makes me frustrated for the inconvenience since the dealership is about 49 miles south of me which is in the opposite direction. Hopefully we can get it fixed.
GM tech's do you know anything?
