    Leds and laser projector

Super stoked that these shipped. It will be a couple weeks before I see these since they are coming from China but should be pretty sweet addition to the door opening impressions. This will be the final touch to finishing the LED mods for the ATS. Pictures to come. Anyone else done this yet? Anyone have photos of their's in operation or video. I saw this one on an Escalade but wanted to see if anyone had this on an ATS yet.

Once I get it I am going to see about trying to cover up that outer ring so it is just the Cadillac logo only.

Be careful where you get them. Some use quality LEDs and some don't. Some claim to use quality LEDs and get caught selling something else. And find someone who has done the same model car because some of these draw more power than some cars have available in the doors so you either run more wires or have problems.

I've seen them on Ebay, but to me they just seem ricey and cheesy. Hopefully they work out for you though with no issues.

I have been talking with the seller in China. They come as pictured direct plug in replacements according to him. No wiring.

    Re: Leds and laser projector

Very little information for those in this auction: http://stores.ebay.com/areyourshop-a..._sid=205798949

Those just replace the factory puddle lights.

It doesn't look like there is a way to get to the image to modify it like the one's I'm familiar with. Likewise since its not a cylinder you won't be able to orientate the image if you don't like the default. And the only good performing ones Ive seen are much taller which I took to be for clearest focusing. Doesn't mean that's the only way though.

It lists 3W of power. I hope that's each but can't recall if the ones I've seen were 3 watt LEDs or 5 Watts.

But they are cheap so worth a try.

Post pics when you get them. I would do this if they turn out good.

    Re: Leds and laser projector

That was my point for ordering them. at less than $20 shipped, why not try them?

Worth a shot. I am guessing I could adjust them in their directional stance by taking the case a part. They do show another image of it with the cylinders not the black casing. They guy told me there should be no wiring though. Just plug and play. Then again it is coming from China so who knows.

    Re: Leds and laser projector

    Thanks Guy.Seminerio
Those look quite different from the ones I ordered as far as look as you can see in the image up at the top. But again for $20 it is worth a shot to try them out.
I am just doing the two front doors to avoid any adding of holes. The rear doors rarely get opened anyways.

Do you know if that outer circle is there? I am hoping it was just a side effect of poor photoshopping by "marketting".

Can you tell if you will be able to rotate the image?

I just did this to my ATS but don't have the photos with me. I'll post them tonight if I remember.

I have them and there are great! Mine cost $12 including shipping. Pop old lights out and new ones in. They are rotatable 360 degrees and take less than 5 minutes to install.....quickest, cheapest and most impressive MOD I've ever done. Never realized that the rear doors don't have the the courtesy lights like the front doors.

Thanks. Do they have the circle around the logo like the OP's picture? Would not like that and it seems strange they would do that. I'm hoping they just Photoshopped the picture and stuck the Cadillac logo in and forgot to delete the circle that was in the original pic of some logo the circle made sense with.

Rustybear, where did you find yours for $12? Can anyone post pics of these installed? Thanks
