    Steering wheel threads showing

I realize it's not a big deal or a show stopper, but anyone else have issues with threads being frayed/showing on your steering wheel? I have 3 of them (there when I picked up the car) and the service writer told me that needed to be fixed, but the service manager says its not something GM will warranty out.

Seems like this falls under the material/workmanship quality, but what do I know, maybe I expect more for a luxury brand.

I don't know the exact problem you're referring, but if it is a fray looking thread (end of thread or a few strands that are not functionally holding anything together), then perhaps a propane torch (maybe even a butane lighter) quickly passed close to the 'frays' to neaten them. Disregard if I'm off-base on a possible solution but it could work under certain situations/conditions.

    Re: Steering wheel threads showing

on my '13 ATS i had the steering wheel threads come loose and unravel about an inch on the right hand lower spoke of the wheel it was replaced under warranty. If your dealer says otherwise find a new dealer or lodge a complaint with GM, this is absolutely covered under the bumper to bumper which is how they replaced mine and you are correct you should expect more and Cadillac has no problem taking care of you but it sounds like this service manager does, especially if this was noted during the new delivery
