    Yup sorry for the hijack

The 98 ended up running a best of 11.04 @ 127.8mph naturally aspirated on a 1.66 sixty with the six speed manual trans. I ran a best sixty of 1.50 before but the car with the extra power had trouble with the stock suspension/tire setup and iron disc clutch.

Really enjoying hearing your work on the 2.0 motors. Do you have any pics of your custom intake setup?

What was your 1/8 mile time and mph? I used a g timer and ran 8.85 @79.7. I'm curious if the g timer is close or not .

The ATS turbo is fun, but it's going to need some mods to keep you happy.

IhuntV8, sorry about the hijack. I definitely watching your results and looking forward to see how you package it all up.
I don't mind at all!! As long as we keep talking fast cars and occasionally women your not hijacking!!

I still have a 59 corvette that I race and my dad and I are building a 63 grand sport vette. I got into Mitsubishi cars about 15-16 years ago! I built my first eagle talon just to mess with all my friends who drove mustangs. My talon went 10.70's at 132-133, I bought Mitsubishi evo and that car ran 10.80's at 129-130mph on 93 octane, and went 9.70's at 147mph with slicks on all 4 corners! My Evo was featured in DSport magazine! I will dig up some pics of cars and bikes I had! I love the ATS, who knows how far I will go with it, but I know wiseco has some pistons, and Manly is working on some parts also!
I enjoy reading about your guys cars, feel free to keep posting, I like anything fast!

Wow very nice! I had no idea these 2.0 turbos could be built and run those times...I also have a 97 z28 with exhaust, tuning, gears, stahl and a bit of engine work...used to run around 13. I ended up buying a 3.6 ats which I don't plan to mod. Not fast enough for me, which is why I'm planning on getting an ats-v next.

Yup the 2.0 is the choice for folks who like to mod. Those motors have made incredible power reliably.
