how well does a baby seat fit in the back of a new ATS?

I'm looking to make a deal this weekend on an ATS. it's an hour away from me though. Can anyone tell me how well a baby seat fits in the back of an ATS? I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee now and the front passenger seat needs to be almost all the way up with the baby seat (rearward facing) placed behind it...

Wife says this is non negotiable. Anyone able to snap a pic?

I guess some seats are different and people are different heights, but we can't use the rear facing seat for our grand daughter on the driver side because the front seat has to be moved up too far for it not to rub. It fits on the passenger side but the front seat has to be almost all the way forward. Once they get too big for rear facing (doesn't take long) there is no issue of course.

Not great.....I wanted an ats so bad I convinced myself I could fit a booster for my 7 year old daughter and a car seat for my 1.5 year old son. My son is pretty big (almost 3 feet tall already) so we have the seat facing forward. One fits ok behind the passenger seat moved most of the way forward, but the boy is behind me and even with my seat moved most of the way up, it fits fine but he's constantly kicking and pushing on the back of the seat. Once his legs are long enough to bend down and not stick straight out, it might work better. I'm pretty shirt too, only 5'7" so if you're much taller it could be more of a problem.

Never thought about that in between stage. If someone had just one kid, do you think it would work better in the center or would they just kick two seats instead of one? I'm not even sure there are anchors in the center.

I love the ATS, but it is not.....I repeat....not a family car. It's a sports car with the occasional rear passenger. As someone mentioned, hold out for a CTS, XTS or other Cadillac model.

I have a rear facing seat in mine. The leg room for the front passenger is a little tight but it's not too bad for my wife who is about 5'4". The problem is the stroller doesn't fit in the trunk so that has to go on the rear driver's side. It's OK for a family of 3. I brought the seat with me when I test drove the car. Didn't think to bring the stroller. It's better than my 2006 GTO that was traded in. The rear facing seat didn't work at all and even if it did a 2 door would have been a pain in the ass. We have a Saturn Vue which is obviously better. The Saturn actually has about the same leg room but we can haul more stuff and still have room for the dog.

I check this site almost everyday but haven't had time to post. The importer/exporter business + part-time architect and hand modeling on the side keeps me pretty busy.
