Salesman called me today, wants to make a deal on this car. I told him we'd talk next week. Whomever said it, this car will still be around for a while. It's RWD and has summer performance tires on it.

Back before I bought my ATS, I talked to this one salesman at a dealership about a 2013 on his lot. He gave me an offer which was not reasonable. I asked him if that was the best he could do, and he said yes. I told him I don't haggle; give me a better offer or I walk. He said that was his best offer, and he was certain he could sale it to someone else at that price. I disagreed and we broke off negotiations. I went to another dealership and put in a special order for my 2014 and did get a good deal there at the second place.

I sometimes check the website of the first dealer and laugh a little to see that that exact 2013 is STILL sitting on his lot. HA!

    ----------

I just checked again. It is still sitting on his lot. What a mistake that was for him. It has been so many months now...

The last day of the month is a good day to close the deal. If you want the car, I would do it then. Unless you are losing interest in it.

some good deals to be had on 2013 models but the selection is getting REAL thin, so it depends on what you're looking for.

I picked up my ATS4 Performance with CUE/navi for $37k. It had 8500mi on the ODO. Not my first color pick but for the price, I couldn't refuse.

Update - salesman called me this afternoon (last day of the month) and offered the following

    MSRP: $50,090
Preferred price minus GM Employee discounts: $43,426
    Additional $3500 rebate after taxes.

Right now I can get this car for less than $40,000. I mentioned that I wanted all season tires put on and the machined face wheels, he said he would look into it. We'll see.

From $5,700 off to $10,000 off? I would close the deal today, I think they are giving you their best deal.

New discount includes an extra amount for GM employee discount, my dad is a GM retiree. I wanted to see what they offered first without it.

Basically they are offering an extra $3500 on top of the GM discount & standard rebates. I'm going to see what he says tomorrow about the all season tires and machine-face wheel swap. The tires are a deal breaker. If it were spring or early summer I'd let em ride, but winter is right around the corner
