I am loving my new ATS 3.6 performance model

Question? After driving home from my commute at work, just 10 miles ( not complaining about commute being in ATL) that after sitting in garage for 3 hours, when I lifted hood to check things out, the engine block was still very hot to the touch. Is this normal and if yes, what would it feel like after a long trip? Is their an over heating going on?? Thanks for feedback

yes, mine gets hot too, i think its the thermal blanket under the hood that retains a lot of heat, i wouldn't worry about it as long as your cars operating temps stay normal

At ten miles your vehicle is up to 'full operating temperature'; after a longer drive you'll still be at full operating temperature, so no worries.

I have a 2.0T, what I can tell is that I left the car over night about 14hr, and everytime I turn on the ignition it's never start at C, always a quater. I don't think it's too hot. cause from what I read the reason why it's hot cause it's make better fuel economy. So I always assume it's normal.

well I didn't say it was a problem lol just the two engines comparatively. I was thinking about getting a turbo blanket, my friend had one on his turbo cobalt and it did make a difference

Just a nice vented/louvered hood would solve that problem. In carbon fiber would make it even better.
