Laminx install caution for ATS.
So, $60 for fog light covers, side marker covers and headlamp covers.
sidemarker and fog light covers are 10 minuite affairs, and to be honest, if the fog lamps are the only item that works, I'll be slightly annoyed but it will have been worth it given they get the most abuse.
I did one side marker and removed it shortly after given I can't see it getting cracked or getting rock chips anyway .
However, the vast majority of the reason people buy this are for the headlamps. I'm sure LED adaptive lighting ATS headlamps are 4 figures, so it's nice to protect them.
I have minimal experience using films I will say, but I'm not a complete moron either when it comes to common sense.
And common sense here would say to split the headlamp covers into 2 pieces.
Laminx instead supplies a 1 piece film, which I tried to apply thinking they'd intended it to be that way, and frankly because I considered weighing picking the wrong spot to cut vs trying to make it work
The results were not pretty.
There are so many sharp angles mixed with curves on this headlamp I can't see any reasonable or feasible way to apply this film without cutting it to relieve folds or heating it up way past what I felt comfortable doing.
I've emailed laminx, but I have low expectations.
some of the air pockets and water trapped underneath should evaporate, but even if that all clears up, I'll probably end up taking it off.

You never know they may clear up. I used a different film on my last car (Acura RL). It took almost a month before all the bubble cleared up, but they did eventually.
