Check engine light/stumbling at idle/onstar not working

So this morning my check engine light came on so I went to the website and it said push the blue onstar button for a diagnosis......only to find the onstar is not working. I've noticed a fairly rough/stumbling idle recently and I'm wondering if it might be related? Anyone else have similar problems??

This might not help but are you running 87 octane? Reason I ask is cuz when I run 91 there is slight vibrations. I tried 100 octane the other day and the engine was smooth as a v8.

    Hello bluecrayon,

If you would like to further discuss your issues, please private message me. I do see donavo offered his insight on a possible solution to the concern. Also be sure to provide your contact information and VIN and current mileage.

    Sincerely,

    Laura M.
