Hmmm.......have yet to see these videos anywhere else. Don't need to have a "general discussion" from what I saw or heard. Good way to get avg. daily posts up.

Reminds me of those stupid Bridgestone commercials (with the 'performance' balls), slightly entertaining but no basis for comparable facts.

I totally disagree. When I was in the market for my ATS, I was cross shopping it with a piano. I drove the piano, and noticed it was "not very smooth." I then drove the ATS and noticed that it was "smooth." Had this commercial been out while I was shopping, I would have known immediately that the ATS was "smooth" and the piano was "not very smooth," thus preempting my need to test drive the piano. I can only hope that before the release of this commercial, people did their homework and actually test drove the piano. It would be a shame if people took the dealer's word for it when they were told the piano was indeed smooth . . .

I never thought of that. My neighbor just bought a new piano and it makes terrible noises when he goes up the curb into his driveway. Bet he wishes he'd seen that commercial before he bought it. It's easy for us experts to be smug about not needing these kinds of educational commercials but now, when I see him driving his piano, I realize there but for the grace of God go I.

Yeah they don't make me want to buy Bridgestones. But the football commercial makes me chuckle every time I see it. I keep waiting for Deion Sanders to deck that lab tech.

My take is if you buy anything based on marketing glitz and tactics........they win, you lose. If any product is as good as advertised, don't trust the images (cause they are biased), put yourself on or in the product and decide by instinct, not emotion. Advertisements this day and age are more about being bizarre than a real personal experience.

This is silly: everyone knows you can drive a piano, but you can never make music with a car.

Were you out sick the day they taught "never say never"?
