    Reverse tilt mirror question

I wanted to see how the reverse mirror tilt worked, so I toggled both sides on. But it doesn't always revert back to its not normal position when I restart my car. It will still be angled to the ground. I've turned it off in the settings and even reset to factory settings, but it still does this. Is there something else I need to do?

Mine did the same. Take it to dealership, there is an update that corrects it. The update also corrects a bug in the seat memory. After update mine work perfectly.

Per hood101010, as I recall it was a Body Control Module reprogramming that addressed this and it also worked in my case to fix the rear view mirrors and seat memory.

Thanks guys, ya I just didn't want it to be something simple I wasn't doing. I'll be bringing it in shortly for the Cue Update anyways so hopefully everything will be taken care of.

    Exactly what is happening here?

Are the mirrors remaining in the tilted position after moving to drive?

    or

Are the mirrors not staying in the tilted position during reverse?

I'm having a hard time keeping mine tilted while backing. They will tilt every time selecting reverse but its very rare to complete a full backup in almost any situation with them staying tilted.

I've tried adjusting speed, time, and turning, but no luck

Mine does the same thing. I will update after my appointment tomorrow morning for the update.

Mine were doing this and are fixed after the they reprogrammed the module.

Interestingly enough, my driver side mirror now tilts down when the car is turned off... and comes back up when I start the car.

I hope you'll update the thread after your dealer appointment, Last of a Breed! If you have any questions in the meantime, email me at Katie_Lucille@gmexpert.com and I can research further for you or contact your dealer on your behalf.

It tilts back when I put it in reverse, but won't tilt to its normal position once I put it in drive. Since I've put it back into the off selection in the options screen, it only tilts when I put the car in park. As long as I use the key fob to unlock the door, once I open the door it will go back to its normal position. If I don't lock the cars door upon exit, it will not return to its normal position when I start the car up.

I'll hopefully be going to the dealer this week to get the update.

I was looking for this feature on this car. Couldn't find it in the brochure. So happy it has it. My maxima has it and my ATS will too
