    Extended Warranty & Maintenance

I went back a ways and didn't see anything on this but if I missed it please point it out. My ATS should arrive soon and I wondered what Extended warranty and services are being offered at closing? I assume they're separate? With the current standard Warranty Protection and the Premium Care Maintenance, is anyone taking advantage of these additional offers? How much are the different plans? Thanks

    Re: Extended Warranty & Maintenance

Really a highly negotiable item between you and your dealer. Just make sure if you get it, you get the GM extension and not some Independent coverage. I extended my warranty out to 7 years total, bumper to bumper which is precisely the average I expect to hold onto this car. It gives me piece of mind; as you know with all the electronics involved (especially CUE) and being a first model car a service call could easily pay for the warranty cost in and of itself. Expect to pay close to an additional $1500 to $2000 for all inclusive coverage. Just remember, it's much cheaper to get it up front, versus getting it later down the road. Plus, it's transferable which is a great selling point if you do sell it before the warranty years are up.
