    Last Few Qs Before Purchase

Im getting to the tail end of negotiations on leasing an ATS 2.0 Premium and have a few last minute questions before I sign.

The first regards trunk size. Does the main trunk area have enough room for a 42 x 38 folded dog kennel? If not could someone provide the rough dimensions for the trunk without the smaller side parts added on? Our mini bulldog goes with us a lot on the weekends and we like to bring his kennel along.

Second is in regards to the speed limit indicator in the IP and HUD. If you exceed the speed limit does it actually alert you? I should have tested this on the test drive but was playing with so many gadgets at the time I forgot to both speed and have this display up at the same time. I asked the dealer over the phone but they did not know.

    Thanks

It does not alert you if you exceed the speed limit. That would be a disaster! :-) You set one limit yourself, at whatever speed you want, and that is when you are alerted.

I set mine to 150 mph wouldn't want to get too crazy.

    ----------

Just measured the trunk you have 39" x 34".

Don't forget that on the Luxury and Premium models the back seat folds down, so it would fit if there were no back seat passengers.

Actually it does but I don't know how to do it. When we test drove the first ATS and we exceeded it told us that we've exceeded the speed limit.

    No, it doesn't...to wit:

    5-25 of the manual
    Speed Limit: The Speed Limit
    display shows the current speed
    limit
. The information for this page
    comes from a roadway database.

    5-26 of the manual
    Speed Warning: The Speed
Warning display allows the driver to
    set a speed
that they do not want to
exceed. To set the Speed Warning,
press SEL when Speed Warning is
displayed. Press y or z to adjust
the value. This feature can be
turned off by pressing and holding
SEL while viewing this page. If the
selected speed limit is exceeded, a
pop-up warning is displayed and a
    chime may sound

Someone might have set the speed warning control on the ATS you were driving, and when you exceeded that selection, it went off.....you looked at the driver's display and seeing a speed limit display you assumed you exceeded it to cause it to go off.
