    Kevin, thank you for beginning this thread! I'm happy to document everyone's mileage (and the thread URL) where the appropriate General Motors teams can view them. If anyone would like me to research mileage questions further, don't hesitate to email me with the last eight of your VIN at Katie_Lucille@gmexpert.com.

    Best,

    Re: Fuel mileage

    I just finished my first tank of gas this week, and calculated the mpg. I got 22mpg mixed town/hwy driving. Not too bad.

    17 and change so far in the city. Not happy with that, so far.

    That's what my trip computer says. A gas pump calculation gives me 161 miles/8.519 gallons = 18.89 -> 19MPG. That's a bit better....

    If you guys have smart phones, get the Car Minder app. It is a great app. You can track all your gas mileage with it from the time you start using the app. It also keeps a data log, when entering the mileage, on when your next services are due.

    Re: Fuel mileage

    I remember reading this past summer that Cadillac was expecting the mileage to be well into the 30 mpg range.

    Re: Fuel mileage

    I had a loaner 2.5 L for a week and averaged 24 mpg in mixed driving, but the car only had 1500 miles on it so wasn't broken in yet. I would expect at least a 10% increase once broken in, so not too bad.

    Re: Fuel mileage

    1100 miles so far. 3 fillups thus far. 20.1, 23.2, 23.7. First tank involved initial setup and instruction at dealer so 30 -40 minutes of idling didn't help mileage. My experience with most new vehicles is that mileage will take some time to improve and usually gets better after about 10k on the odometer.

    I saw this as well with the same loaner even a bit higher at 25.

    Mostly city driving, but never MPG over 20. I expected better. I may take it in to have it looked at. 2.0L turbo.

    Seems like the turbo may not live up to its mpg claims much like the cars in this consumer reports article:

    Re: Fuel mileage

    I like to use the analogy of the four barrel carburetor (when referring to turbo charging); you can maintain good fuel mileage but you have to keep from employing the turbo charger (in order to do it). The 'turbo' is for power (when you want it or need it); the four barrel carburetor also was pretty good on gas (as long as you didn't 'stomp it' and engage the 'secondaries').
