    Well... Something broke :(

Well, some broke on my new ATS. I went to retrieve something from the center console and it happened. I pushed the button to unlock the console and I heard a "crack". It seems as though the spring inside the latch broke. So now when I close the console, I can just lift it open without without having to push the button. The button is stuck in the back position. I have probably only stored something in the center console a couple times. So this is definitely not from overuse.

    What a sad day...

That sucks. But the good news is that's an easy fix for the dealer.

    YankeeVic,
Sorry to hear about the console in your new ATS. Let us know if you needed any help getting an appointment set up with your dealership (if you decided to go that route to get it repaired at all).

Go to your dealership or any Cadillac dealership for warranty work....easy peasy!.......I think this thread was more of a tongue-in-cheek "a spring broke", not to be taken too seriously....

I know man, I was being sarcastic... Not very well I guess lol. Sarah's post was so classic I couldn't help myself.

I like to keep a couple things broke on all my cars, it makes my drive to work a little more interesting. The thought of my life being on the line at all times keeps my heart beating!!!! Kind of like playing Russian Roulette.
