Well it's not every option you can get.
Just comes down to what you want and willing to pay for I guess. I ended up getting just about every option, didn't mean to but then again I didn't have to wait if I ordered exactly what I wanted. Maybe the added security package?

    Re: Ordering ATS this Sunday

That's almost how I would order one. Personally I could not order the base car since I need rear seats that fold down (not included on the base). But I would also have a hard time paying $4K for all the stuff the Luxury package includes stuff that I would not want (CUE for one).

How much are you getting on the CTS-V?

While I have a 630hp V, I make my living driving a 239hp Town Car L. I test drove a 2.5 ATS and thought it was nice. The ATS feels wonderful for its lightness and handling. I'd be perfectly happy in a 2.0T. Especially where its only a matter of time before power is well into the 300s with tuning...

That was one of the big considerations but I just can't give up a manual tranny.

Indeed. Every personal car I've ever owned, but one, has had a manual transmission...

First of all congrats on ordering a new ATS. Second, the base model will not have the CUE system in it. If you want it, just check.

To bad you can't get the red interior with your car. I think that would be nice, but I do like an all black interior.

    Re: Ordering ATS this Sunday

Other than the wheels and heated seats, that's the configuration I got. I very happy with it.
I'm getting 24.5 mpg in combined city and highway driving with the manual. Shift action is very good. The leatherette seats are comfortable, at least in early winter driving. From what I've read, leatherette holds up well over the years, but unfortunately lacks that leather smell.
I would recommend getting the upgraded wheel package that includes Brembo brakes. I think that was $800, but the brakes are very responsive.

The Brembos are standard with the 2.0 turbo, in all trim levels. The $800 wheel package only gives you the polished version of the standard 2.0 wheels, which are already an upgrade from the base 2.5 L model wheels (incidentally, the only model to come without the Brembos, or the run-flats). All manuals do come with the limited slip differential, otherwise only available on the Premium RWD automatics. With the discount one gets for the manual, it makes the base turbo somewhat of a sport sedan bargain.

Do you get run-flat tires in the base trim when you get the wheel package in the 2.5L?

    Re: Ordering ATS this Sunday

I forgot to mention I placed my order on Sunday and now I wait 5-8 weeks.

If I was buying I would get the luxury model because of the real leather seats. Since I am leasing I do not care.

The only features I wish the standard model offered are HID headlights however (performance model), garage door opener (luxury model), and rearview auto-dimming mirror (luxury model).
