weather animation on CUE 3d NAV?

Have any of you discovered the weather animation that moves when you do at the top of the NAV screen in 3D mode? It apparently are clouds which appear and slowly disappear to a black band as the day goes on....don't believe it's connected to any service and are the only 2 changes I notice throughout the day...the black band that it fades to at night is very strange....you would think it would at least show stars or a moon or something other than a black band???

Yes, but it seems to know only about day and night time, not the actual weather pattern.

Also, the horizon tilts on mountain roads, up and down, under an angle showing the elevation change. It seems that cornering causes a similar effect.

I do like the 3D building animation, they are pretty realistic.

    All only in 3D view.

It's cool, it would be really cool if there were stars at night. I think the map is easier to read in that mode.

The newest update shows stars now! I also thought the black band was odd too... the stars look more natural now.

I know!!! When I first started this thread and suggested stars on the background, Katie & Cadillac picked up on this in an email I sent. Was thrilled to see my idea implemented on the CUE update!! Goes to show, they are listening to our feedback on this forum...
