ATS Premium Seat shifts laterally while driving- Anyone else experience this?

The driver side seat in my ATS shifts left to right in a rocking motion when making turns... Took it into the dealership and they tried to fix it, but no luck...

    Anyone else experiencing this?

Happens to me as we'll. More like something is shifting, not quite rocking. Haven't went to the dealer yet, I'll probably poke around myself today.

I'm certainly not experiencing this on mine. The dealership has to figure something out for you. Maybe the entire seat needs replacing. If they have other ATS premiums on the lot, drive one of them.

Mine does the exact same thing. Also, there is another mention of this from someone else on one of the other threads. I haven't mentioned it to the dealer yet, but I'm planning to. I also have a bad actuator door on the HVAC system that needs fixing.

Interesting, I haven't noticed it but will try and pay attention tomorrow to see if I feel it.

It's an odd sensation. The whole seat itself doesn't move as if it isn't bolted down, rather something inside the bottom cushion is not stationary and shifts. You don't have to be going fast to feel it. In fact, I find myself driving the car slower to try and prevent it, to no avail.

My left mode actuator is bad too. A replacement is due in this week. It will be a two day fix because they need to disassemble the whole dash. Good luck.

Atlantaguy00 and others mentioned this in another thread. My mode actuator made a "clock" sound every few seconds. The system blows air through the defroster vent in my car no matter the mode setting. It sounds like this is a common problem. My service tech tried reprogramming the system on advice of GM. That didn't work for me.

Took the car in today for the actuator and they did a software update. Didn't fix the problem. It's got to go back. Keep me posted on the fix and let me know how it works out for you. I haven't even mentioned the seat to them yet. Crap, how did I wind up with both problems...

Pretty much the exact same issue with my 3.6 Premium. It is more psychological than real concern. As you say, I find myself waiting for it, although I'm not sure it affects my driving any.

I'm going to give it some time before I report it to the dealer. I would rather wait until a technical service bulletin comes out and they know exactly what to do and also focus on my HVAC issue first. In the meantime, if any of you get a resolution from your dealers please post it here. That will help me to know what the fix is and help me to point my dealer in the right direction.

Has anyone else taken theirs into the dealership to have the seat looked at?

I am thinking of going to a different dealership to see what they say...

Cullama213, I'm happy to follow up with your dealer or locate/schedule an appointment at an alternative dealer if you wish. Please email me at Katie_Lucille@gmexpert.com for further assistance. I'm away from the office 12/25, but I am returning 12/26 and would be happy to explore your next steps with you then.

AtlantaGuy00, I also wanted to jump on this thread to say again how sorry I am you're continuing to experience these frustrations. While I recommend consulting with your dealership about bulletins, I'm always happy to check for any open recalls on your Cadillac if you send me the last eight of your VIN.

    Hey everyone,

Had a new seat installed and the problem went away! It did however cause some airbag issues which forced the dealership to keep the car for two additional days. Everything is fixed though.
