Collision "Alert System/ Safety Alert Seat

So I'm driving in city traffic yesterday looking for and address (with the aid of the nav system which works wonderfully) and see the building over my left sholder. Not looking ahead for a quick moment, the seat starts to shake like crazy and the red lights are flashing in the windshield. Well, that was the collision avoidance system telling me that the car ahead had stopped unexpectedly. It saved me from rear-ending it.

So, I'm sold on that safety feature. My car doesn't stop itself, but it sure did it's job in letting me know I was the only one moving.

Oh yeah, the breaks work great!

Holey smokes, you were lucky. The system paid for itself already.

Yeah, I was really happy with it. I keep it set to it's lowest sensitivity. I found that the high and medium settings gave many false alarms but the lowest setting seems to be just right. I keep the lane departure system turned off. I may have use for that feature sometime, but not for normal driving.

That's great. How are you liking CUE? Do you find it works well? Ay other likes or dislikes? I'm still trying to make the call between ATS and 335

I like CUE. I'm pretty tech savy and prefer a hands on approach to learning, so I didn't use the iPAD app which I found of little help. With that said, there were a few things that didn't work as I would have expected in terms of menu navigation, but otherwise once I used the manual to answer my "how to" question I like it. I love the Nav. system. The voice recognition is great and I'm using that for music selection more than the touch screen. I'm glad I have it. Also, the surround sounds stereo sounds awesome!

What are you using for music and how do you have it connected? USB, Bluetooh, etc?

I have been able to connect my iPod, but my favorite method is that I put a bunch of music on an SD card and keep it perminently inserted into the SD slot. That works best for me. The iPod works when connected, but you have to keep it charged, etc so the SD card and even old fashoned CDs are my favorite. And CUE is able to find the music by voice command pretty well. It's funny if it gets confused it will ask you to clarify. For example I asked it to play "The Wall" by Pink Floyd and it asked: Part one or part two?

Doesn't it charge when it's plugged in?
