www.cars.com has a good site for building the ATS with pricing. If you order a 3.6L Premium model (1SU) Heads Up Display (HUD) is included as part of the (1SU) package, on the 3.6L Perfomance model (1SR) you have to order Y66 Driver Assist Package and Y19 Cold weather package to get Heads Up Display.

    Re: From Production to Delivery

LaFontaine Automotive Group answered my questions on their familydealblog.com website. Here are their answers:

    1. When is production expected to start (or has it)?

ATS Production starting up at any time. Mid June cars will start coming out.

    2. How long does it usually take after production begins before dealers start to receive inventory? For example, are cars shipped as they are producted or stored at the plant until a certain date?

    6 Weeks.

    3. Is it likely that Cadillac will allow a customer to drive away in an ATS as soon as dealers receive inventory or will we have to wait for a “Release Date”?

Once the cars hit the lot, they can be sold. Customer orders will get filled before dealer orders. Once the cars hit the lots, they can be sold.

    4. When during the production process do car manufacturers usually release full details about options and packages? For example, are full details released once production begins or withheld until closer to dealer delivery?

16 different models – 2.5L, 2.0L Turbo, 3.6L Rear Wheel Drive & All Wheel Drive. Here are Cadillac ATS Specs, scroll to bottom of the post.

    5. Are brochures with full details about options and packages usually available before dealer delivery?

2013 full line brochures were ordered last week, XTS & ATS brochures should be here the end of June.

    6. Are there any new hints from Cadillac about when the ATS will be available?

Our (LaFontaine Buick GMC Cadillac) first order was placed on Tuesday and we should see them in the beginning of August.

Best way to get your ATS is to visit LaFontaine Cadillac, speak with one of our ATS Product Specialists and order you dream vehicle with a small deposit.

    Re: From Production to Delivery

There's one Package option error (hopefully GM catches it). The Driver Assist and the Driver Awareness package. Driver Awareness is only available with the manual, and doesn't have the adaptive cruise, side blind zone alert, collision prep, and the rear cross traffic alert. I'm guessing the collision prep and the adaptive cruise are can only be had due to the fact it needs an auto to function properly. But the blind zone and rear cross alerts should be part of 'Driver Awareness' right? I know the cars.com build page is preliminary, but I didn't see it available for manuals through GM's order guide either. Am I overlooking anything?

I'm not sure the Cars.com ATS pricing is accurate. For example, they show a delete savings of over $1,000 on the 2.0T if you get the manual. Has this been confirmed? Sometimes the auto or manual are no-cost choices like in the Regal.

I'd very much like that. Most dealers have someone trolling in the various forums, don't they? You almost have to nowadays.

    Re: From Production to Delivery

I asked Cadillac to respond to questions similar to the ones at the start of this thread. Specifically, I was hopng Cadillac would tell us more about when production would begin and product information would be available. Cadillac's timeframes are quite different from the ones suggested by the LaFontaine Automotive Group. The response I received today from Cadillac and LaFontine's earlier answers are shown below.

    1. When is production expected to start (or has it) on the ATS?

LaFontaine -ATS Production starting up at any time. Mid June cars will start coming out. (LaFontaine's earlier response to question - "How long does it usually take after production begins before dealers start to receive inventory?") 6 weeks.

Cadillac - At this time, the 2013 ATS is scheduled to begin production in the mid to late summer of 2012. It typically takes about 8 to 12 weeks for the vehicles to start arriving at dealerships once production begins.

    2. When will full details about options and packages be released?

LaFontaine - 16 different models – 2.5L, 2.0L Turbo, 3.6L Rear Wheel Drive & All Wheel Drive. Here are Cadillac ATS Specs, scroll to bottom of the post.

    Cadillac - See answer below.

    3. When will brochures with full details about options and packages be available?

LaFontaine - 2013 full line brochures were ordered last week, XTS & ATS brochures should be here the end of June.

Cadillac - Please keep in mind that production dates are subject to change and because the vehicle has not started production information such as brochure availability and when the website will be updated is not currently available and should be released closer to the start of production.

Cadillac has almost always been dead-on-balls accurate with their estimations on release dates of new models. It's been mentioned numerous times on these forums(from those with experience in waiting for new models) that when Cadillac said late summer/early fall for the ATS and June/July for the XTS, that's what you'd get.

Cadillac has never waivered on this for these cars. When the first V was to be released, we were told Jan of '04. For the V2, it was Nov '08. Both were accurate.

Stop listening to someone who just wants your business and will give optimistic estimates. Listen to Cadillac.

I didn't get pics, sorry. I'm excited for the car, but I already see them at least a few times a week. I see at least 2-3 XTSs every day now, so the excitement of new cars goes away quickly.

Where are all these cars coming from that everyone is seeing? Are these test or limited production cars?
