Allante A/C not cooling well at idle

My Allante A/C is not cooling well at idle. I have noticed that the radiator fans run for about 25 seconds, and then shut off for about 1 minute before turning on again. The system is fully charged. Should the fans run all the time when the ac is on ??

    Thanks, Jeff

Re: Allante A/C not cooling well at idle

I am not an expert in this area but I would expect that the fans would run to get rid of the heat exchanged in the AC process. If the ac is not working well at idle then i would consider that the compressor may be worn and not efficient at low rpm.
