| Re: 1989 Allante am/fm radio It can be either bad amps or a bad receiver. The easiest way to tell is to install known good parts into the system and see what happens. Or you could send your receiver and one of your amps to us and we'll stick then into one of our test Allante's to see what works and what does not. Amp failure is a Bose problem that affects more than just Allante's. And we are seeing receiver failure now too, so the amps cannot be condemned without checking the receiver. Since the display lights up and you can change stations, the receiver could be OK. If the display was dead, then that would be a symptom of receiver failure and that would be the place to start. In your case, though, it's a tossup where to start. It could be either or both. |
