| Re: tell me what to do The pull down motor usually is just out of adjustment or the limit switch lever is bent. Look behind the latch on the motor, you will see the lever that goes down to shut off the motor. The gap between it and the latch must be very narrow. Like a 32nd of an inch. The shut off lever should almost rub on the latch. Gently bend it forward if necc. The J hook on the top also is adjustable. look where it pivots and you'll see a small allen head screw. As you lower the J hook into the latch, it should be centered prior to engagement. Turn the allen head in/out to achieve this. When everything is right, you will hear a click from the motor when the top snugs up and the latch fully pulls it down. Improper adjustment will cause a constant 12 volt draw to eventually kill the battery. Regarding a top, best brand for fit and quality is "Robbins". |
