I am a new owner of a '92 Allante and I want to change the fuel filter. Who can tell me the location of the filter and the special needs for the change (tools, etc.)?

    Re: fuel filter

The fuel filter is located inside the frame rail below the driver side door. Remove the fuel pump fuse and run engine till it quits. Open end metric wrenches required to remove and install filter. replace fuse crank car till it starts. Doug Jackson

    Re: fuel filter

When starting after replacing the filter, crank for no more than about 3 or 4 seconds, then turn the key off and try another cranking cycle. The fuel pump shuts off after about 4 seconds of cranking unless oil pressure is detected.
