    Window motor. Who sells it?

I have seen window motors for sale on e-bay for as low as $49.00 but with no warrantee. If I go to Autozone what motor would I ask for to get one that would work on my 1987 Allante?

The Passenger side motor is 22062567. The Driver side motor is 22062568. Either is $118.64, delivered, from gmpartsdirect.com

Not to sound rude, but did you miss the part where I said you could buy it on e-bay for $49? I'm looking for something for around that amount not more than twice that amount.
    Thanks anyway for replying.

Not to sound rude, but this is a forum to help provide correct information at no cost. None of us is under any obligation to answer anyone on this site. We do this a as favor. An incorrect motor at any cost is still incorrect. For someone to, this quickly, respond and give you a place that is less expensive than retail and also supply a part number, to me is worth thanking. Good luck getting a timely response for me at least, in the near future

To all of you that wish to pay over $100 for a window lift motor, DON'T READ THE BELOW MESSAGE!!!

You can get it at Autozone for $47.99 with a lifetime warrantee, and NO CORE CHARGE. The product number is WL42006.

    Carnut,
I did say thanks. You seem to have trouble reading all of what I am posting. I am grateful for the information you provided, but I am very tired of buying parts for my Allante for ridiculous prices just because they (Cadillac) stopped making parts ten years ago. If I were Cadillac I would be embarrassed about making a two seat sports car after what I did to the Allante, and the people that bought them brand new. Don't get me wrong, I like my car, but as I said before I'm getting a little tired of some people taking advantage of the situation.

GM did not stop selling these motors. They are available new for $190 list at your Cadillac dealer.
I don't think Carnut is the one missing the point here. Offshore parts sometimes last, sometimes they don't. As with many things, you get what you pay for. I have seen these offshore $49 motors. They have plastic parts inside instead of metal bushings. The lifetime warranty is a crapshoot, both ways. Autozone is betting you'll lose your receipt or sell the car. You are expecting the motor to last forever. Good luck. I got one of them defective new in the box. Unfortunately I had shipped it to a customer. After that I don't buy motors from that distributor any more. Quality costs more.
If you think someone is "taking advantage of the situation" in selling higher quality parts for more money, you are entitled to your opinion. I disagree.

Re: Window motor. Who sells it?

$100 for a window motor doesnt seem all that bad to me, mabye im just used to it but on a car that cost what $57,000 in 1987, which when converted to todays money (inflation) is just about $100,000 respectively, i dont see $100 as all that bad, now a grille, a hood, a taillight, brake parts (Pre Mr. Hussey, who we all owe a great deal of thanks too) and so on are a little ridiculous, but $100 for the window motor really isnt that bad in my opinion, anyway i would spring for the good one if i were you, but thats just me..

    Good luck
