Re: Radio ?
Try disconnecting the battery, sometimes re booting the system restores it. I
presume you know how to reset the clock after re connection. Beyond that I would suspect the reciever behind the glove box. Each speaker has its own amp so I would not suspect 4 amps bad.
I have a '90 and just had the same problem. I could hear the radio but only with the engine not running and the radio on high. I bought one new speaker and it didn't help at all. I then removed the radio and had it rebuilt and now it works fine. Now as long as I am working on this system, I am going to replace the capacitors on the speaker amps to eliminate another problem in the future. Good luck.

I have a 91 model and had the same thing with the radio. I wasted alot of money replacing all the speakers as everyone said that was the problem. After changing out $400 in speakers and problem not fixed i replaced the receiver behind the glove box for $100 and all worked fine. My symptoms were similar to yours in that the volume was low and then went to only 1 speaker and then finally quit. My advice would be to replace the receiver first then move on from there. The reason i changed the speakers first is that they were dying 1 at a time, so automatically thought that was the problem.
