Abandoned Allante Behind My Highrise! (pics)

This Allante has been behind my apartment for almost 2 weeks! It has not moved obviously because of the damage. It's a nice car other than the damage to the drivers side front end! I'm betting it will be difficult to find body panals for it.

It looks like an earlier one, what year would it be???

I'm not sure what year it is but you could find out with the VIN. In Michigan if a car stays abandoned like that on private property, you can legally take ownership of it after a series of paperwork and records checking. Do they have anything like that in Saskatchewan? If so you should see if you can take ownership of the Allante. It looks nice besides the front damage.

Looks in ok condition except for the obvious damage. I toyed with an allante before we got the STS. Theyre nice. I think that there is a system in britain like that, but it needs to be your property....

I just think that no one bothered reporting it yet to the RCMP?? I don't know what's going on with it, but we do have bylaws where if it is there for a while, it will be towed if someone complains, and you can see part of the sign we have in the backlane for a 40 dollar fine for a non-tenant parking there. So I wonder if the owner lives in my highrise or perhaps it was stolen? I don't know.

I'd like to know the year of it because I think it looks like an earlier '87-89 and my buddy thinks it might be one of the last, '93?

    OMG. you spelled SASKATCHEWAN properly!!!

Between $1,900-6700. But could be more or less factoring in mileage and condition.
Also I was just kidding about staying up on the province spelling.

heres what you should do, get the tag number and have it run by the local pd. actually i doubt you could do that. see if they can run it and get the name and all that. get in contact with the owner, if it is stolen then they would probably like to know. if it isnt and they just abandonded it then hang up and try getting it! dont ask them if you can buy it or anything. yeah, it is not too shaby looking, and Allantes are still pretty expensive. i think new they were 60k something, modern day XLR price. good luck bud, id definetely try and go for it!

I seriously doubt I would have a claim to it.

C'mon Allante people, at least guess what year it might be...

Its hard to tell from the picture, but the really hard to find and expensive parts, the hood and fender, look undamaged, or at least are repairable. The major damage is on the wrap around front facsia, which is still available.

It is definately not a Northstar car. The bright metal trim around the headlights makes it one of the earlier models.

Just look at the tenth digit of the vin and it will tell ya what year it is. on the Vin chart. I would guess it was an 87 just looking at the pics, but the vin doesnt tell lies
