    1989 Purchase Advise

I am looking at a 1989 pearl white allante with 59K the car is in perfect condition. what should I be looking for on the car. sounds like abs brake, radiator, and oil leaks, radio, convertible top. anything else to look at the 1989 seems like a good year to me. the car is 9500 and has two tops and looks and runs great. Any help or thoughts. Thanks Milt :coolgleam

With the car running, press OFF and the RED climate control buttons, record any fault codes and report back. You have to press and hold these buttons at the same time. If the climate control reads no ecm faults, no bcm faults no lighting codes that tells you that there are no current faults with those systems. To get out of diagnostics, just shut the car off and restart. Remember press these buttons at the same time and hold till the climate control read out blanks then starts showing messages. Hope this helps, the 89 is a good year, bigger engine!
