    Exclamation'89 ABS problem?

I'm working on an '89 Allante, and when you press the brake pedal, the DIC will have a message "Antilock disabled" then about 5 seconds later it will say "Antilock ok". And it will do that each time you hit the brake pedal. There were no codes stored on the computer.

    Any ideas? :rolleyes2

There is great guidance at Dick Hussy's site:

Click on the ABS Info button and follow his advice.

    Re: '89 ABS problem?

The three possible causes of your symptoms: nearly worn out brake pads, a weak accummulator, or worn out internal master cylinder seals. The "ABS Info" section on our website should guide you through evaluating the accumulator by counting the number stored pedal applications. Any questions, e-mail me. We have any parts you might need.
