    Chane rear spark plugs

    How do I change the rear spark plugs next to the firewall ? I am sure there is some trick to it . Do I loosen the engine mounts or just what do I do? Thanks

    Most folks do it while the car's on a hoist with a ratchet and extensions. I've done it with removing the upper dog bone engine mount, then loosening the front 2 engine cradle mounts and lowering the engine slightly. As the engine lowers it tilts forward. I used DELCO platinum plugs for a newer 4.9 V/8 Cadillac. Be aware you will more than likely damage the plug wires so have a set of DELCO wires available!

    I'm changing them too . I don't know when they were last changed so may as well do it now.
