Transmission Shift solenoids
I'm trying to diagnose problems with shift 3rd to 4th. Interment problem; car seems to shift normally up to 3rd gear, then sometimes it does not shift into 4th, or stays in 3rd gear. Anybody have experience diagnosing the 3-4 shift solenoid, and/or the lockup solenoid (VCC). I suspect possible electrical connection problem either outside or inside the transmission?

Re: Transmission Shift solenoids
First have a trans shop verify the TV cable is adjusted to spec. A too short cable will cause delayed shifts. Should take 1/2 hr to adjust and road test.
