Hello. Exactly where are the bolts that need to be removed? Are they accessible from the top side or the bottom? Do you just back them out somewhat or completely remove them? Are there any alignment issues on reinstallation? Thanks, Norm.

On either side of the radiator under the car. These bolts hold the sub frame to the chassis. remove the 2 forward ones with a floor jack under the engine, then slowly lower the engine. The subframe will allow down and forward movement. That widens the space between the firewall and engine. We're talking a couple of inches.
