    1987 Allante power seat problems

I have a 1987 Allante and am having some problems with my power seats. The passenger forward/back switch is the only one working. The #22 circuit breaker is good is good. Can't find #25 fuse. Door lock are not working as well and I think they are tied into the same problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1987 Allante power seat problems

I found this web site to clean/repair the seat switches. I have to fix my driver's side too. Does anyone have a pinout of the connectors so we can test the switches after cleaning?

Re: 1987 Allante power seat problems

If your 87 Allante is like my 93, The fuse for the left power seat is under the ash tray.
This fuse also affects the rear view mirror and the glove box light.
The fuse in my Allante kept blowing, I even tested the fuse circuit with an amp meter
and running the seats, the mirrors, glove box light, nothing drew over 1 amp.

I did notice that the same fust is also used for the under hood light, (which has never worked),
sooooo, I cut the wires to the light, Problem Solved, It has never blown that fuse again!

    Good Luck with yours!!!
