    Installed 18" C5 Z06 wheels on my 1987 Allante'

I got a great deal on a set of 18" C5 Corvette Z06 wheels and tires, so I thought that I would try to freshen up the looks of the Allante' with a sportier wheel. The main problem is that the Allante' has a 115mm wheel and the Corvette has a 121mm wheel. I found a set of adapters on the internet that took care of that issue. I thought that I would post some pics and get some feedback:

Thanks. I had to fabricate the Pinin Farina center caps (the wheels came with Corvette C5 Logo center caps) - I found some blank chrome center caps on E-bay as well as some PF emblems. I got the brand new wheels and tires for $300, which was a steal.

I just thought some people would like to see that there are some other options for Allante's when it comes to wheels with the use of wheel adapters.

    Trulytex:

Looks great. Perfect car and appearance for sunny Florida.

Allantes have an angular rectangular appearance and, in my humble opinion, need a wheel change from the flat stock wheels to highlight the car. I'm sure that the car designers original choice of the flat wheels was to duplicate the Mercedes flat wheels that were introduced around circa 1986.
