    New 20s on the 93

I found a sweet deal on this set of Forte Forged Chrome CTS 20 inchers. I think they they are a big improvement over the chrome 16s. I didn't notice much difference in road feel either.07252011138.jpg07252011135.jpg07252011134.jpg07252011132.jpg07252011131.jpg07252011133.jpg07252011133.jpg

They look so much better in person too. I was afraid the 20s would be too much rim aesthetically, but they aren't and they really modernize the look of the car.

New guy here--93 Red with 31K miles. I like that green color. Is that a Cadillac color?

It's Polo Green, a standard Allante color. On a side note, the paint on these Allantes look great, nothing like the crappy GM paint from the 80s and 90s.

Do the 20's affect your speedometer? I'm thinking of updating my wheels, but I was thinking more along the lines of 18", but the 20's I've seen on here do look pretty nice.

Re: New 20s on the 93

larry the overall height of the tire and wheel combo is the important part, not the wheel size itself

for example, a google search listed the original size of the 93 tires as P225/60ZR16

using a tire size calculator the closest combination with 20 inch wheels would be 245/35/20. that would be SLIGHTLY larger than stock but would only affect the speedometer by .3 mph

That's not too bad. I could live with that. I think everytime I go past those speed cameras, it shows my speed to be 1mph less than my speedo indicates, so that would be okay. there will be less sidewall so I guess I could expect it to be a little harsher ride. And I'm guessing that size tire should fit okay under the wheel wells.

Re: New 20s on the 93

i just checked and thats the exact size of tire i run. they fit just fine.

My ride quality wasnt affected noticeably, but my suspension WAS shot before i put the wheels on so maybe it couldnt get any worse haha

I used an online plus size calculator and ended up going with the same size mentioned above. The car rides the same in my opinion.

Re: New 20s on the 93

Cool. Well I've liked the looks of all the 20's I've seen on here so far, so I'll have to check it out and look at some different wheels in that size. Thanks, guys, I appreciate the feedback.
