Hardtop Rack Measurements?

Could someone please post the measurements of their hardtop rack? I have a wheeled hardtop rack in the basement from when my wife owned a Miata. The rack is made from aluminum bar stock and measures 33" wide x 17" deep x 19" tall (not including the casters). It would be great if I didn't have to buy another rack.

Mine is 32" wide x 18" deep x 28" tall.

Thanks. I suspected the Miata rack might not be tall enough from the pics I've seen.

there are many designs out there.
Why dont you just try it for fit?

Not sure the height is that important as long as the top is straight when the back pads touch it.

also, you could easily make a really nice one out of plywood, i will email you a pic if you like.

If you think the height is important, simply extend the Miatta stand if the Allante top fits. Not so hard to drill and bolt on extensions in aluminum. A lot cheaper also. The stand cost of $200 can be better spent towards good tires.

Good suggestion. I'm going to take the Miata stand to my mechanic and see if it will work. (They need to pull the hardtop off to work on the pulldown motor, anyway.)

Does anyone have a wall-mounted rack they could post a pic of? I have plenty of empty wall space, but very limited floor space in the garage.

Buy a bicycle lift, pull it up off the car, and let it rest up there.
I believe the hard top weights from 58 lbs to 60 lbs, not too heavy.

or just copy it .. a few pulleys, brackets and a cable.



or you can make this and mount on the wall.

Thanks. I think I'm going come up with something similar to be mounted to the garage wall in a place that will be out-of-the-way in the summer (like above the place where I store the snowblower attachment for my tractor). I'll then have some straps or bungees to hold the top of the roof against a pad on the wall.
