| Re: 1992 turn signal indicator The reason for this change from earlier models was that starting in 1990, traction control was added, along with the SIR (airbag) system. To free up a spot for those indicators, something had to go. Low fuel was one and combining the two directionals into one indicator was the other. Interestingly, if the Allante's had continued, the were plans in the works to separate the arrows back into two individual indicators, one for each side. We ended up with a few brand new clusters with some NOS parts I bought. The part numbers were different than the '93 clusters. When plugged in to a '93 Allante' everything worked fine. Among the changes I noticed were the directional signal arrows each having a separate indicator as on 1987 through 1989 models. |
