thanks for the info about the torque converter, do you think it would cost about the same for me to have it done, and can a repair shop do it or do i have to take it to a performance shop. Also even though im probably not going to lower my car until late spring because I took a couple months off of work to play lacrosse, I'll be broke. However I'm still very intrested in seeing the procedures to lower the car. A few questions regarding the drop, I am going to have to buy anything or have anything custom fabricated? about how much will it cost? will the speed dependent dampening still work? and will the ride be stiffer or softer? Thanks for the help and information you've provided me with so far, I'm very happy that there's somewhere I can goto to get information and help with such a unique car.

With regards to torque converter upgrading, you need a shop that specializes in torque converters and has the equipment to open one up. A very few transmission rebuild shops have this capability.

Here's one shop that I've heard good about. The shop I had mine done sold out of the business.

You can read what is involved in strengthening a torque converter.

I'll try digging up the procedure to lower this car.

I got your message, thanks for digging it up. It doesnt really seem that hard to lower the car. Have you lowered your car this way?

Re: Is there an overhaul kit for the Allante tranny?

so when I lower my car how stiff is the ride going to be? Is it going to be like the highway stiffness, just cruzing around? Also what kind of springs would I use for the front.
