I just got in touch with my brother and he said the transponder in the key in these cars go bad, etc. I told my husband and yep, he said the key broke today, and the transponder fell out, so thats the problem. He said we need to find it and tape it to the steering column until we get a new key, but I think its long gone. I called the dealer and they said if we dont have a key to program it from its going to run about 500.00..OMG!! Suks to be us now. Thanks for the help. maybe this can help someone in the future.

I would just buy an ignition with key from a used auto parts place.
