Hi, I have a 1980 cdv, 46000 miles,368 cu.in. just had carb, professionaly
rebuilt ( show car standards) about 3 mos. ago, does anyone know what kind of gas mileage I should be getting, it seems to guzzle gas like it's going out of style,I'm not a lead foot either, also have a new k&n filter, plugs, rotor
and plug leads.

Man, that's a tough one. My best educated guess would only be about 10-12 city, and 14-17 highway. It wouldn't suprise me if stock specs were higher, and someone may chime in with better, but in my experience - gas goes bye bye. My 1979 Coupe Deville (425) got like 6+ city, and 12 or so highway, and my 1979 Bonneville (301 4bbl) gets about 8 city, and about 16 highway. Lastly, my 1983 Coupe with a built 507 and locked 3.42's gets better than the 425 or 301 (not working as hard [bogging]) if I keep the pedal off the metal. MPG is circumstantial to too many things to lay it on paper accurately

My '79 Deville with the stock 425 got as high as 17 mpg on the highway. The smaller 368 should get at least that.
