I'm going to repair the AIR system on my 68 472. I do not want to pull it out or just leave it sitting there idling - I would like to see it run. I want this thing to look and work stock.
I've been able to find or fix everything except the asbestos packing glands (little disks of material, I guess) that fill and seal between the AIR manifold and the heads. Any suggestions or recommendations? I thought about using a good high temp RTV but I don't think it'll hold up too long.
