I can't remember if '68 is a Q-jet or not, but if it is I wholeheartedly recommend a book Called "Rochester Carbuerators" by Doug Roe, I'm sure many others around here recommend it for their Q-jets as well. Its very clear and well written. It can be had on amazon for about 15-20 bucks I think, or on ebay for 5-10 bucks.

Yes a 68 should have a QJet, Roe's book is a very good resource for them.

A shop manual would be good for an engine rebuild. You could try the big inch book if you have trouble finding a FSM, should have enough info for a stock rebuild.

Hell yeah its a q-jet... they had been using them since the 365's i believe. The FSM has a whole section devoted to the carburetor from rebuilding it to giving it a fine tune.

Nope, I'm pretty sure 67 was the first year they stuck Q-Jets on them.
