Lack of fuel

well the caddy doesn't seem to like to pump fuel to the carb. I put on a new holley electric fuel pump, but it didn't work and we're pretty sure it was broken, and then i put the original mechanical fuel pump back on and it wasn't pumping either. Is there something i did wrong or how do you think i could solve the lack of fuel? Any suggestions?

Re: Lack of fuel

Fuel line leak or restricted?

Fuel filter clogged?

Computer not functioning, or fuel injectors plugged? (just kidding)

Could it be the solenoid in your starter? 'Cause it turns over, right?

Re: Lack of fuel

I Would Check The Fuel Supply Line For Having A Hole Or Split . If The Supply Line Is Open , Cut, Then No Suction Will Occur To Draw Fuel From The Tank. Put A Late Model Gas Cap On The Tank, One That Is Not Vented, And Blow Air Back From The Carb To The Tank. Maybe You Will Hear An Air Leak Helping To Locate The Source. Good Luck. Bill.
