    multimeter

    Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced mutlimeter to be used on the wiring etc on my 76 Eldorado conv.......

    I have never had a problem with cheap $10 multi-meters. I think my $20 Craftsman is almost 20 years old. Quality name brands are always nice but probably not necessary for a basic meter.

    After years of buying the $10 meters .....I have come to this:

    Treated myself to a $250 Fluke meter; that I ONLY use for automotive use.
    Bought it straight from Fluke with a lifetime repair warranty. Made in USA... love it!
    I use the $10 units for the household current jobs now.

    Sometimes an analog meter does better. I have an old Heathkit CM1050, with good test leads; they show
    up on Eb*y quite often. Bruce Roe

    I just bought a heathkit cm 1050. am now needing good leads and an operator manual for it. if anyone knows where I can buy these let me know. thanks
