Nope, its the diesel model but around the 90s the drivetrain was swapped to a 368 4bbl with a turbo 400. I bought it a year ago!

I used to own a 80 cdv. with a 368, there is not much variety in these filters, have you installed one before?

Yea, in the inlet its a cardboard filter, i heard that back than they use a stone like filter you can reuse and theres the inline ones if you have the rubber lines not the metal ones.

Your choices are paper or sintered bronze. Personally, I would run an inline filter between the pump and the carb (and that is exactly what I do on my carb cars).

Re: whats the best fuel filter???

The sintered bronze filters are 1950's and early 60's tech. Actually very effective, but slightly restrictive. Can be used as a pre-inlet in-line filter. Your filter is located in the carb inlet housing itself. Disconnect the fuel line and then the 1" nut. In back of that you will find a paper filter, seal and spring. The seal should be replaced, but no longer comes with the filter as it used to, so you have to reuse the seal if you don't have one at your disposal.

Re: whats the best fuel filter???

I prefer the in line as well. The filter in the inlet at the carb allows water to settle in the threads, and can eventuall corrode the threads, ruining the carb. Use flare nut wrenchs on these fittings at the carb or you will damage the nuts or twist the metal fuel line!! On an inline filter install, use hi pressure fuel injection hose and euro type hose clamps ( they grip the hose, not cut into it). The drier gasoline today will eventually dry out regular fuel hose and be a potential fire hazard! Ask me how I know! These euro hose clamps can be gotten at any foreign auto parts store.
