    1981 368ci - 8/6/4

Does anyone know the weight of the engine & transmission for this engine? I'm swapping it out and trying to get my suspension in order so I'm looking to see how much weight savings I can expect.

    Thanks.

I took out the 368 out of my 81 and put in a 472 and it seamed like there was no difference in height..But i did put all new parts in the front end..

The 472 was approximately 100 pounds heavier than a 425. Cadillac engineered that much weight out of the 425. My guess would be the 368 could have been a few pounds lighter than the 425.
