Later Model Engine/tranny in 70's Caddy?

Anybody put a later model (say 350 f.i) into a 70's Caddy? Maybe a 4 speed o.d. transmission? Just playing with ideas. I plan on having my '74 Sedan Deville for life, but am not opposed to looking at more fuel efficient options for cruising those long trips. Don't be getting in my face.. just playing with "what if's" here and wonder if anybody has done such a disgraceful thing? Ha!

    Thx.
