    New Member 500ci question

I hope someone can help me.
I have a good friend that has a 1969 Eldorado coupe that has been sitting for at least the 20 years I have known him. The car ran and drove fine when it was parked.

This last fall we decided to get the Cadillac back on the rode. After MM oil was put down the cylinders and the engine was turned over a new battery, cleaned points, and rebuilt carb later the car was running but had a very bad miss. Two valves were stuck open which bent the pushrods and broke a rockerarm. The heads were removed and sent in to engine shop to be rebuilt.

** The reason I joined your group is I need help finding the air tube that runs between both heads on the front of this engine. The old one was stuck in the pass side head and was damaged when removed.

Do any of you have or know who sells this tube?

Thank you in advance for your help.
    Best Regards,

    Re: New Member 500ci question

Thank you to this forum, I found out about the Cadillac King by searching through the threads in this group. The pipe was purchased and should be on its way to IL.

Those cars even look sharp when they are dirty. The fuel tank should really come out for a good cleaning. I rarely do it myself but I have seen some nasty pictures of what old gas tanks look like on the inside. The filter sock may very well have disintegrated by now if it isn't clogged. Good luck on the car.
