Suitable material to install an air injection pipe
On my '71 Eldorado I removed the original air injection pipe since it was corroded and full of holes. After taking it out I realized there was some type of gasket material that kept the tube in place while in the heads. I have since found a suitable pipe replacement but don't know how to re-install the pipe. What can I use to go around the pipe ends that go into the heads? Currently, I have the heads plugged.

Re: Suitable material to install an air injection pipe
You can use a high temp RTV.. that should work fine... If were mine I would leave it plugged and get crank and waterpump pulleys of a 1970 cadillac.. with those pulleys you can take off the air pump and leave the heads plugged.. 1970 is the only year that had no air pump that has the duel A/C , power steering belts..
